SMS Opt-In

Last updated: August 11, 2026

Nyctof Inc. sends one-time verification codes by SMS to confirm a member's phone number at sign-in. This page documents how consent is collected, for carrier and compliance review.

How end users opt in

Nyctof is an iOS application. Consent is collected in-app, at the point a member enters their own mobile phone number to sign in or verify their account. The member types their number and taps "Send Code". Directly above that button, before the number is submitted, the screen displays:

"By continuing, you agree to receive a one-time verification code by SMS from Nyctof. Message and data rates may apply. Reply STOP to opt out."

The same screen also states that the phone number is used to prevent spam accounts and is never shared.

Consent is per-request and transactional. A message is sent only in direct response to a member-initiated sign-in or verification attempt. Nyctof does not send marketing, promotional, or recurring messages. Phone numbers are never purchased, rented, or obtained from third parties, and mobile opt-in data is never shared with third parties for any purpose.
